T-Minus 36 Hours

Only about a day and half remain until my Firefly marathon and subsequent live blog experiment. To prepare, I'm shoving hot needles into my genitals like Albert Fish. Either I'll be ready for the pain, or I'll end up cooking and eating a 10 year old girl. Which ever happens, I'm sure it will be fun.

I wouldn't say Serenity is worth that much effort. I'd sitck with the injections myself.

It's not about the final goal, it's about the journey. And the 10 year old girl.

The thing about eating out a 10 year old girl is....
Hmmm. Can't decide which direction I should take this "joke". Do I play it safe and go the cannibalism route; ie. Her bones stick in your throat- type comment with a nod to Robert Bloch's " I have the heart of a child. I keep it in a jar on my shelf" quote or do I sink deeper into the depravity of paedophilia comments (ie. My bone sticks in her throat) and get harrassed by well-meaning but annoying parent groups who wouldn't know humour if it gnawed their arms off? Either comment leaves a bad taste in my mouth ( Hyuk, hyuk) so I'll just move on to Firefly/ Serenity.

I think the most depressing thing about a guy watching the entire Firefly season and blogging about it before/ during/ after is that there is actually an audience who will tune in to the blog. Reading about someone watching a Firefly marathon- getting the secondhand smoke of entertainment. Man, I need a better hobby.

I've only seen a few episodes of Firefly. It's that sci-fi cowboy show with that bloke from Two Guys, a Girl and a Gerbil Experiment Gone Wrong and Steve the Pirate right? What a great concept. For anyone who thought that the Bravestarr cartoons of the '80's needed more recognition. Sadly it went the way of Chris Carter's Harsh Realm and got cancelled three episodes in. Bastards.

Don't worry. I don't have an audience.
