R.I.P., Spider God.

The guy from Tenebrae and Curse of the Black Widow died. May he rest in peace, and may his eggs hatch healthy and robust, and clot the skies white with their webbing. Also, I’ve been linked to by Andrew Sullivan’s great blog over at Time magazine, in his thread on Post PC humor. And here I though I was just racist. Mr. Sullivan is gay and conservative, which makes sense like Jumbo Shrimp. Before my server crashes, I'd like to thank Andrew, and welcome new readers. Before you write me off as a caustic one-hit wonder and never return here again, I recommend checking out this, this, this, and this, or the alphabetical listings on the right. Also, feel free to offer me a book deal.

Well, count me as one of your new readers. I followed the link from Sullivan's blog.

I like your style, reminds me of that crazy lunatic writing for, plus the antisemitic jokes.

Just a little note: if you wish to give an italian title to your archive, at least write it properly: it's "Archivio dell'Odio".

cue slur over wops and dagos

Welcome aboard, Muttley, and congratulations on being the first of the 2000-odd visitors to this site today to leave a comment.

I would never slur Italians. Without their fine contributions, who would use the ports to import the cocaine that floods the downtown area where I live? Heaven forbid my TV not get stolen for the third time. Thanks for the correction, and the spike in home insurance rates.

Congrats on the outside link. I hope that more people comment, though... This is always a fun forum for discussion (although unforunately I haven't been commenting as much as I used to).

Nope. They didn't. 6000 hits in three days and exactly six comments. I did get a bunch of emails, though. Strange.

Ash, I've been cutting down on my recreational posting a bit, thus affording you the space to develop fresh new codependencies with your burgeoning fan base. You know, Muttley and that other guy.

Still, I can't help pointing out that it's mostly us foreigners that are continuing to prop up your posts around here - it's a bit like the UN of Bad Taste, in fact. Which is excellent, is it not - but is it not also a searing indictment of your introverted compatriots' innate reluctance to tear themselves from their Molsons and lacrosse and engage in some serious cultural debate? Or is it just further evidence of a refined national palate?

I can't decide. Congrats on the exposure anyway.

Thanks. Actually, I don't many of the people who read this are from my neck of the woods. Not even very many of my friends read this, probably because they get enough of me in person.
