Red Shoes, Black, Black Casket.
On Tuesday, Moira Shearer died of ballet-related injuries. A British actress and dancer whose worked mainly in Powell / Pressburger films in the 50s and 60s, Shearer was the star of The Red Shoes, my absolute favorite classical dance film based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. She also appeared in Peeping Tom, which is my third favorite serial killer movie in which someone gets killed with a piece of camera equipment, after Urban Legends 2: Final Cut, and Fade To Black. She will be missed, mostly by English pensioners in local video stores complaining about how films today have too much foul language.
